While on a scouting trip we happened upon this rustic little produce stand and fell in love. The owner Bill was not only a wealth of local information but a produce connoisseur. Whenever we are in Tampa Bay, we always marvel at how the area is the perfect juxtaposition between big city living and country paradise. A busy metropolis surrounded by rural splendor.

Yes, that is indeed a papaya tree in the early stages of being fruitful. Those papayas look like they will be ready in another few weeks.
We purchased all of Bills baskets to use for an event we are planning for one of our clients at Haute Media Agency. Not only did we purchase the baskets, we picked up some tasty Red Delicious apples to make apple candy for Halloween and some juicy peaches for a peach cobbler recipe we plan on sharing with you soon.
These fruit stands can be found all over rural Florida, but this one was quite special.
And of course we picked up some firewood for those chilly nights in paradise. It's Fall after all!
