F ROYAL PALM OMNIMEDIA: Five Trends From New York Fashion Week 2016!

Five Trends From New York Fashion Week 2016!

1.  You're A Natural

Healthy, nude glowing skin was the order of the day for lines like  and Thakoon. Barely there mascara, a plum pout, low maintanance brows with just a dust of highlight over the eyes left their looks complete.  Just that fresh glow is all you need for the season.

2.  Statement Lips

Bid farewell to slick shiny lips and hello to strong compact tones.  Carolina Herrera and Marchesa kept it pink with bright fushia while over at Jason Wu and Victoria Beckham and was focused on scarlet mouths. The result was an indelibly stained look.

3.   Mesmerizing Manicures

From their orgins in American urban neiborhoods to New York Fashion Week, designers have caught on that ladies are being much more creative with their nails ranging from colorfuly eye catching, to  dark and edgy.  Here you see Monique Lhuillier's green tipped mani that perfectly complements the model's skirt and bag.

6. Statement nails. Meet your new manicure - brilliantly bright or mysteriously moody. Opening Ceremony wowed with checkerboard nails; Monique Lhuillier did green tips and Prabal Gurung went lemon yellow.

4.   Bejeweled Head and Hair

Givenchy, Dion Lee, and Rodarte are some of the designers that decided to add some filigree to their model's hair and face.  Celebrities were adorning themselves with metallic tattoos all summer and we see the look now making its way into the Spring season.

4. Face and hair jewellery. So we're not suggesting you step out with a full face of embellishment à la Givenchy, but all signs point to accessories as the next big thing - from the pretty clips at Rodarte to the striking gold bands at Dion Lee.

5.  Ol' Blue Eyes

DVF, and Hugo Boss were some of the designers who allowed more refined version of the blue eye shadow to make it's way back from the seventies.  Designers used subtle duos and trios of combinations that were quite impactful, but in a good way.  From sky to royal you are encouraged to aqcuire your shadows, pencils and liners in varying shades to get your blue on for Spring.
