THE ART OF LETTING GO
HOW TO EFFECTIVELY DE-CLUTTER YOUR LIFE

Clutter is the ultimate killer. I know this because I have personally experienced its effect. Clutter practically surrounded my life, my desktop, my social circle, my closet, my kitchen, my car, my calendar. It wasn’t until I got fed up with being ineffective in almost every area of my life, that I had to make a change. When I moved across the country from Los Angeles to New York City, I realized the power of de-cluttering my life. I arrived to NYC with only 2 suitcases. Everything else I had was in storage or I had given it away. I only brought my uber essentials because I wasn’t sure how long I was going to stay. I was terrified about this but you know what? Life continued on, I really didn't miss anything and I had a new found sense of total freedom!
I felt like I had a clean slate to begin making choices and creating habits that ultimately served me in a more effective way. I was able to launch my own business and be free to work smarter not harder because nothing was blocking my way. I had no excuses.
I’m not saying you have to sell everything and move across country to clear out the clutter in your life but I do want to tell you that just clearing out some of the clutter can have a massive impact on your overall wellbeing and lifestyle.
The thing to remember about clutter is that it always mirrors whats going on in your life.
What I learned about clutter and letting go is that it the main block from experiencing the joy of having a clutter free life is in our MIND. It’s definitely got to be mind over matter.

These are just a few of the many mindless excuses we tell ourselves. Don’t let yourself get caught up in this trap. It’s essential to your overall well-being to get rid of the clutter that builds up in your life. Here are a few possibilities you will be compromising:
SPACE   TIME   FREEDOM   PEACE   HAPPINESS    HEALTH    EASE
IS IT REALLY WORTH IT?

WANT TO KNOW HOW TO GET STARTED?
TRY THIS: PICK ONE THING IN EACH AREA OF YOUR LIFE YOU WILL GET RID OF.
Here are some examples you can use:
HEALTH- eliminate dairy which causes inflammation
CAREER- get rid of gossiping in the workplace
RELATIONSHIPS-  create space by distancing yourself from toxic + draining friends
HOME- throw out all clothes that you haven’t worn in the last 6 months or get rid of any shoes that aren’t in good condition
TIME- decide to get rid of anything on your calendar that doesn’t have anything to do with your future goals or dreams like looking at Facebook for hours

After you pick one thing in each area of your life. Take some time to ask yourself these questions.
1.  Why is it important for me to keep this?
2.  What is the worst thing that will happen if I let go?
3.  Is it making me happy to hold on?
4.  What’s on the other side of letting go?

GLAM-SHUI RULE: If there is a proper place for it, keep it. If there isn’t you should let it go.
Be brave. Be committed. and Be ready to see huge changes in your life. When you are living your life more intentional and mindful, huge shifts will start to occur. Try this over the next week and see what happens in your life. Do you notice you feel a little lighter? Maybe a little stronger?
