The Firestone Grand Prix comes back to Tampa this week and racing fans are already lined up to secure their place in the stands. This years race will run on a 1.8-mile course in St. Petersburg Friday through Sunday.
Though race fans are planning for this years race, organizers were at Thursday’s Green Flag Luncheon at the Renaissance Vinoy Golf Club, announcing their plans for 2015. It was important to set next years schedule in order to have give all parties involved an opportunity to plan for next years race.
Last November, Grand Prix officials secured Firestone as its new sponsor after former title Honda declined sponsorship contract renewal. We can't wait to see what's in store.
