It's the collection that has roused Jamaicans from what was considered a summer bikini fashion slumber. Between you and me, there were continuous whispers or boredom as to what was available this season from local designers for the fashion conscious. That was until emerging design star, Jae Jolly, unveiled her collection of what can only be described as a creatively vibrant blend of bold patterns, tropical colors and rich textures titled, "OCEAN FLOOR". I began receiving phone calls an texts from friends in from every fashion arena, raving about the collection. The moment my the garments came down the runway, my girlfriends began making their purchases. Everyone who had plans for the summer, including myself, found at least two designs that would be perfect for an upcoming beach party or coastal soiree.

What I love most about the collection was that inventive mix of patterns. I hate anything to arranged or "matchy-matchy" and Jae Jolly's spontaneous looking blend of colors and prints was a bikini breath of fresh air. Another thing I loved was the inclusion of 'head wear' in the collection. You know Haute Paradise has had a 'thang' for turbans this summer and it seems Jae has hear our pleas for fashionable ways to protect our hair during the summer. What else can we say? OUI LOVE!!
